This service includes two forms of protection: Trend Micro Kids Safety for PlayStation®Vita and Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation®Vita. These features can prevent the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser from opening unsafe, fraudulent, or unwanted websites.

Trend Micro Kids Safety for PlayStation®Vita prevents the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser from opening websites unsuitable for children.

What is Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation®Vita?

Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation®Vita prevents the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser from opening fraudulent and other unsafe websites.

What kinds of websites will Trend Micro Kids Safety for PlayStation®Vita block?

Trend Micro Kids Safety for PlayStation®Vita can block websites that fall into these categories: adult (sexual), alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, crime, cults, gambling, racism, and many more.

What kinds of websites will Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation®Vita block?

Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation®Vita can block websites that transmit malicious software, or that support online fraud.

How do I start using the service?

First make sure that you have at least version of the PlayStation®Vita system software. You can then access these services directly from the PlayStation®Vita settings.

1. Launch the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser, and touch "..." button then select Settings menu.

2. Choose Security, and then select Trend Micro Web Security.

3. If you make a purchase, the service will be enabled automatically.

How do I make a purchase?

You can purchase protection by using either your personal computer or the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser. If using a PC, you wil still need to activate the service from the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser. Please refer to "How do I activate the service?" for more details.

How do I activate the service?

If you make a purchase using the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser, the service will automatically activate. If you bought the service using a personal computer, then you must activate the service using the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser by following the steps below.

1. Launch the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser.

2. Touch "..." button then select Settings menu.

3. Choose Security, and then select Trend Micro Web Security.

4. On the top page, click Activate by Serial Number and then provide the serial number you received.

If you purchase both Trend Micro Kids Safety and Trend Micro Web Security, then you must repeat this process for each one.

How can I check if the services now protect me?

Browser security icon is displayed when the service is active. Please refer to the Users' Guide.

How do I enable or disable the paid service?

You can easily enable or disable the paid service:

1. Launch the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser, and touch "..." button then select Settings menu.

2. Choose Security, and then select Trend Micro Web Security.

3. Select the Sign In button, and sign into your Trend Micro Account. From there, you can enable or disable the service.

Can I stop using the service without accessing the Trend Micro Web Site?

You can stop using this service directly from your PlayStation®Vita.

1. Launch the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser, and touch "..." button then select Settings menu.

2. Choose Security, and then select Trend Micro Web Security.  .

Should I create a Trend Micro Account after purchasing the service?

Please do. Setting up an account allows you to manage the service, so that you can enable or disable it, change the name of your PlayStation®Vita computer entertainment system name, etc.

What kind of information must I share to set up a Trend Micro Account?

You will need to provide your name, a valid email address, a password, and your current location to set up the account.

Can this service protect me when I use the Internet from a personal computer?

Although you used a personal computer to purchase it, this service can only protect you when using the PlayStation®Vita Internet browser. Please visit http://www.trendmicro.com to get award-winning protection for your PC.

If I forget which email address I used, what should I do?

Use your PlayStation®Vita to stop the service. Next, open the Trend Micro website from your PlayStation®Vita again, and select Show email address. Your email address will then appear on the page.

Should I do anything special before loaning out my PlayStation®Vita, returning it to the store, or sending it back for service?

Always make sure to clear your personal information off the PlayStation®Vita before handing it over to someone else. To do that, select Settings on your PlayStation®Vita, then choose System Settings, and finally Restore PlayStation®Vita System.

What can I do with a Trend Micro Account?

A Trend Micro Account provides the following features:

- Easily purchase and renew protection for your PlayStation®Vita

- Check the expiration date of your protection

- Change the name of your PlayStation®Vita

What can I do if my PlayStation®Vita breaks after I have paid for the service?

Once your PlayStation®Vita has been fixed, please sign into your Trend Micro Account and use the Replace Protection feature to enable the service again.

How do I change my account information?

Just sign into your Trend Micro Account to edit your user profile.
